A 12-day trip out of Pokhara taking in Kathmandu to Ngadi by Scenic Drive, Trek from Ngadi to Chamje, Trek from Chamje to Bagarchhap and Trek from Bagarchhap to Chame. There are 12 stops in all.
The running order is Kathmandu to Ngadi by Scenic Drive, then Trek from Ngadi to Chamje, then Trek from Chamje to Bagarchhap, then Trek from Bagarchhap to Chame, then Trek from Chame to Pisang, and on from there.
The price covers airport Pickup: Private vehicle transfer from the airport, Transportation: Deluxe public bus from Kathmandu to Besisahar, followed by shared local transport to Nyadi, Jomsom to Pokhara: Local bus transportation and Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the trek, with one cup of tea or coffee at breakfast. It does not cover international Airfare: Flights to and from Nepal are not included and must be arranged separately, Nepal Entry Visa: Visa-on-arrival fees and other applicable visa charges are excluded and Travel & Medical Insurance: Travel, medical, high-altitude trekking, and emergency evacuation insurance are not included, so budget for those separately. Kathmandu to Ngadi by Scenic Drive
Enjoy a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Ngadi, following winding mountain roads through beautiful countryside, rivers, terraced farmland and traditional villages. Take in the changing landscapes and Himalayan surroundings along the way. Upon arrival in Ngadi, check in and relax at the lodge before continuing the trek the following day.
Trek from Ngadi to Chamje
Begin the trek from Ngadi and follow the trail through lush forests, terraced fields and traditional mountain villages. Cross suspension bridges and enjoy views of the Marsyangdi River and surrounding hills before reaching Chamje for an overnight stay.
Trek from Chamje to Bagarchhap
Continue trekking along the Marsyangdi Valley, passing through forests, waterfalls, suspension bridges and traditional villages. The trail gradually climbs toward the higher Himalayan landscape before reaching Bagarchhap, a beautiful mountain village.
Trek from Bagarchhap to Chame
Trek through pine and fir forests with increasingly impressive views of the Annapurna and Lamjung Himalayan ranges. Pass through several mountain settlements and enjoy the peaceful surroundings before arriving in Chame, the administrative center of Manang District.
Trek from Chame to Pisang
Follow the trail through pine forests and along the Marsyangdi River, surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery. Enjoy views of Annapurna II and other Himalayan peaks as the landscape becomes drier and more alpine. Arrive in Pisang and settle into the lodge.
Trek from Pisang to Manang
Trek toward Manang through the beautiful upper Marsyangdi Valley. The trail passes through traditional Tibetan-style villages and offers magnificent views of Annapurna II, III, IV and Gangapurna. Enjoy the dramatic transition into the high Himalayan landscape before arriving in Manang.
Manang Acclimatization and Exploration
Spend a relaxing acclimatization day in Manang to adjust to the increasing altitude. Explore the village and surrounding trails, visit local monasteries and viewpoints, and enjoy spectacular views of the Annapurna and Gangapurna ranges. The day also provides time to rest and prepare for the higher-altitude trek.
Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka
Continue the trek into the higher alpine region, following the trail through dry landscapes and yak pastures. Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks while gradually gaining altitude. Arrive at Yak Kharka and spend the night in a mountain lodge.
Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi
Trek higher into the Annapurna region toward Thorong Phedi, the base camp for crossing the famous Thorong La Pass. Follow the rugged mountain trail with spectacular views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. Rest at Thorong Phedi and prepare for the early start the next morning.
Cross Thorong La Pass and Trek to Muktinath
Start early for the challenging ascent to Thorong La Pass at approximately 5,416 meters. Celebrate reaching one of the highest trekking passes in the world and enjoy breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Descend toward the sacred pilgrimage site of Muktinath and relax after the demanding day.
Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom via Kagbeni
Descend through the dramatic landscapes of the Kali Gandaki Valley toward Jomsom. Pass through the historic village of Kagbeni, known for its Tibetan-influenced architecture and ancient cultural heritage. Continue along the valley and arrive in Jomsom for an overnight stay.
Scenic Drive from Jomsom to Pokhara
Enjoy a scenic journey from Jomsom toward Pokhara through the spectacular Kali Gandaki Valley. Travel past mountain villages, rivers, waterfalls and changing landscapes as the route descends from the high Himalayas toward the lush hills of central Nepal. Arrive in Pokhara and conclude the trekking adventure.
