A 6-day trip out of Muscat taking in DAY 1 – ARRIVAL & TRANSFER, MUSCAT CITY TOUR (approx. 4 hours), MISFAH – AL HAMRA – JABAL SHAMS – JABRIN – NIZWA and DAY 4 – NIZWA – WAHIBA SANDS. There are 5 stops in all.

The running order is DAY 1 – ARRIVAL & TRANSFER, then MUSCAT CITY TOUR (approx. 4 hours), then MISFAH – AL HAMRA – JABAL SHAMS – JABRIN – NIZWA, then DAY 4 – NIZWA – WAHIBA SANDS, then WAHIBA SANDS – SUR – MUSCAT.

The price covers 5 nights accommodation in standard rooms with breakfast included (B&B), 1 dinner in the desert and breakfast at all hotels, Transportation in a 4x4 vehicle (maximum of 2–4 people per vehicle) with our English-speaking/German-speaking driver and tour guide and Assistance provided by a certified English-speaking driver/guide. The schedule below is a suggested plan and can be adjusted to suit your preferences.

DAY 1 – ARRIVAL & TRANSFER

After passport control and baggage claim, our chauffeur will be waiting for you outside the airport building (landside) and will accompany you to the vehicle that is ready and waiting. Overnight stay: Rozana Hotel Muscat (or similar)

MUSCAT CITY TOUR (approx. 4 hours)

Visit to the impressive Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and the Bait Al Zubair Museum with its collection of Omani art and traditions. This will be followed by an external tour of Al Alam Palace and the Portuguese forts of Mirani and Jalali. Finally, you will visit the traditional Muttrah Souk and then return to the hotel.

MISFAH – AL HAMRA – JABAL SHAMS – JABRIN – NIZWA

8:30 AM: Breakfast and drive to Nizwa. Visit to the picturesque mountain village of Misfah and the traditional village of Al Hamra. Continue to Jabal Shams with stunning views of the gorge. Then, a visit to the historic 17th-century Jabrin Castle. Then continue to Nizwa. Overnight: Ihyaan Inn Hotel – (B) or equivalent.

DAY 4 – NIZWA – WAHIBA SANDS

Breakfast at the hotel. 08:30 AM: Check-out and drive to the Wahiba Sands. Continue to Wadi Bani Khalid with its deep blue natural pools and the opportunity to swim. Then, a desert safari across the golden dunes and a visit to a Bedouin family with traditional coffee and dates. Continue to the desert camp and check in. In the evening, head to the nearby sand dunes to watch the sunset over the desert. Overnight stay: Sama Al Wasil Camp – (B/D) (or similar camp)

WAHIBA SANDS – SUR – MUSCAT

Breakfast at the camp. Departure from the camp and drive along the picturesque coastal route to Muscat. Visit to Wadi Shab with its palm groves, natural pools, and the famous cave. Then, a visit to the Bimmah Sinkhole with its turquoise-blue water. Continuation to Muscat. Overnight: Naseem Hotel Muscat – (B) or similar.

DAY 6 – DEPARTURE

Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out from the hotel. (Standard check-out time: 12:00 PM) Transfer to Muscat International Airport for your return flight home. End of the trip.
