A 6-day trip out of Muscat taking in Arrival & Hotel Transfer, Hotel Check-in & Free Day, Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and Royal Opera House. There are 27 stops in all.
The running order is Arrival & Hotel Transfer, then Hotel Check-in & Free Day, then Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, then Royal Opera House, then Mutrah Souq & Corniche, and on from there.
The price covers english-speaking guide/driver for all tours and transfers, Meals, Day 1: without meal and Day 2: Breakfast. It does not cover entrance Fees:*, Muscat Opera House: 3 OMR and Bait Al Zubair Museum: 3 OMR, so budget for those separately. Two travellers pay $2574 together rather than $1755 each, because this is priced per party and not per head.

Arrival & Hotel Transfer
Upon arrival at the airport, your driver will meet you with the sign with your name on it and transfer you to your hotel. The first day of your trip will be dedicated to the airport transfer and relaxing at the hotel. No activities or excursions are planned for this day.
Hotel Check-in & Free Day
Hotel check-in at 2:00 PM. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and enjoy the hotel at your own pace.

Meet your guide in the hotel lobby at 9:00 AM and get ready to discover Muscat’s cultural landmarks and highlights.
Transfer to Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque
Travel from your hotel to the Grand Mosque. The transfer takes approximately 15–45 minutes, depending on your hotel location.
Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque
Visit one of Muscat’s most impressive landmarks, renowned for its elegant Islamic architecture and beautiful interiors. Explore the main prayer hall and admire the intricate details, grand chandeliers and peaceful surroundings. The mosque offers a fascinating introduction to Oman’s religious and architectural heritage.
Transfer to Royal Opera House
Continue to the Royal Opera House. The transfer takes approximately 10 minutes.

Stop at Muscat’s renowned Royal Opera House, an elegant landmark dedicated to music, art and culture. Admire its striking architecture and take photos outside. If you wish, you can also join an optional paid guided tour to explore the beautiful interiors and learn more about the venue.
Transfer to Mutrah Souq
Head towards the historic Mutrah district. The transfer takes approximately 15 minutes.
Mutrah Souq & Corniche
Explore the atmospheric Mutrah Souq, one of Muscat’s oldest traditional markets. Wander through its narrow lanes filled with colorful textiles, handicrafts, jewelry and local souvenirs. You can also look for traditional Omani halwa, aromatic frankincense, spices and other regional specialties. Enjoy some free time for shopping before strolling along the scenic Mutrah Corniche.
Transfer to Al Alam Palace
Continue through Muscat’s historic Old Town towards Al Alam Palace. The transfer takes approximately 10 minutes.
Al Alam Palace Photo Stop
Stop for photos at Al Alam Palace, the ceremonial palace of the Sultan of Oman. Its distinctive blue and gold façade stands out against the surrounding historic buildings and mountains. The palace is a working royal residence, so visitors cannot enter the grounds, but you can admire its architecture and take photos from outside.
Transfer to Bait Al Zubair Museum
Continue to Bait Al Zubair Museum. The transfer takes approximately 10 minutes.
Bait Al Zubair Museum
Discover Oman’s rich cultural heritage at Bait Al Zubair Museum. The collection includes traditional Omani clothing, jewelry, weapons, household items and other artifacts that offer an insight into the country’s history and traditions. Entrance to the museum is available for an additional fee.
Return to Your Hotel
After exploring Muscat, return to your hotel. You can expect to arrive at around 2:30 PM.

Transfer to Bimmah Sinkhole
Enjoy a scenic drive from Muscat towards Bimmah Sinkhole. The transfer takes approximately 1.5 hours.
The Incredible Bimmah Sinkhole
Discover one of Oman’s most striking natural landmarks, a dramatic limestone sinkhole filled with clear turquoise water. Known locally as Hawiyat Najm, or “Falling Star,” the sinkhole is surrounded by pale rock formations and a landscaped park. Walk down to the water, take photographs, relax by the pool, or enjoy a refreshing swim if conditions allow. Allow around 40 minutes for the visit.
Transfer to Wadi Shab
Continue south along Oman’s beautiful coastal road towards Wadi Shab. The drive takes approximately 20 minutes, with scenic views of the coastline and surrounding mountains.
Hike, Swim & Explore the Hidden Pools of Wadi Shab
Experience one of Oman’s most spectacular natural attractions. After a short boat crossing, hike for approximately 40–45 minutes through a dramatic rocky canyon surrounded by cliffs, palm trees and natural pools. Swim through a series of turquoise pools and, depending on conditions and your swimming ability, continue towards the famous cave with its waterfall. After exploring the wadi, hike back to the starting point and cross the boat again.
Transfer to Local Restaurant
After your Wadi Shab adventure, take a short drive to a local restaurant for lunch. The journey takes approximately 10 minutes.
Lunch Stop
Enjoy a relaxing lunch at a local restaurant and try some traditional Omani or regional dishes. Lunch is at your own expense. Allow approximately 1 hour for the meal before continuing towards Ras Al Hadd.
Transfer to Ras Al Hadd via Sur
Continue towards Ras Al Hadd along the scenic coastal route, passing through the historic town of Sur and enjoying views of Oman’s rugged coastline. The drive offers a chance to relax after the day’s activities and take in the changing landscapes.
Scenic Coastal Journey to Ras Al Hadd
Arrive in Ras Al Hadd and check in at your hotel or resort. Take some time to relax, freshen up and enjoy the peaceful coastal surroundings. In the evening, have dinner and unwind before your overnight stay at Turtle Beach Resort or a similar accommodation.
Optional Transfer to Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve
If you choose the optional turtle-watching experience, take a short transfer from Ras Al Hadd to the Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve. The journey takes approximately 20-30 minutes.
Optional Turtle-Watching Experience at Ras Al Jinz
Visit Ras Al Jinz, one of Oman’s most important nesting sites for green sea turtles. Depending on the season, weather and conditions on the beach, you may have the opportunity to observe turtles coming ashore to nest or see hatchlings making their way towards the sea. The experience takes place under the guidance of the reserve team, and turtle sightings cannot be guaranteed. Entrance fees are not included and are payable separately.
Transfer Back to Your Hotel & Overnight Stay
After the optional evening turtle-watching experience, return to your hotel in Ras Al Hadd. Relax and unwind after a full day of exploring Oman’s eastern coast. Overnight stay at Turtle Beach Resort or a similar accommodation.
Hotel Check-out & Transfer to Sur
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and travel to the coastal city of Sur. Enjoy a scenic drive through Oman’s eastern landscapes before arriving in the historic maritime town.
Sur Dhow Factory
Visit a traditional dhow-building yard and discover one of Oman’s oldest maritime crafts. Watch skilled craftsmen working with wood and traditional tools to build and repair wooden boats. Dhow building has played an important role in Sur’s history, reflecting the city’s long connection with fishing, sailing and trade across the Arabian Sea.
Transfer from Sur to Wadi Bani Khalid
Leave Sur and continue inland through small villages and mountain landscapes. The scenic journey takes you from the coast towards the Al Sharqiyah region and the beautiful oasis of Wadi Bani Khalid.

Explore one of Oman’s most beautiful natural oases, surrounded by rugged mountains and palm trees. Wadi Bani Khalid is famous for its clear turquoise pools, rocky landscapes and year-round water. Enjoy a relaxing walk through the wadi, admire the scenery and, if conditions allow, take a refreshing swim in the natural pools. The combination of mountains, greenery and crystal-clear water makes this one of the region’s most memorable stops.
Enjoy a lunch in Wadi Bani Khalid
ake a break at a local restaurant near Wadi Bani Khalid and enjoy some time to relax after exploring the oasis. Lunch is not included in the tour price and is payable directly at the restaurant. After lunch, continue your journey towards the vast desert landscapes of Oman.
Transfer from Wadi Bani Khalid to Wahiba Sand
Continue towards the vast Wahiba Sands desert, travelling through the changing landscapes of Al Sharqiyah. As you approach the desert, the rocky scenery gradually gives way to wide expanses of golden and reddish sand dunes.
Wahiba Sands Desert Experience
Discover the spectacular landscape of Wahiba Sands, a vast desert of rolling golden and reddish dunes stretching across eastern Oman. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, panoramic desert views and the changing colours of the sand, especially around sunset. Depending on the camp and availability, optional activities such as camel riding and quad biking can be arranged for an additional fee. You can also enjoy a traditional desert atmosphere and experience the hospitality of a local desert camp.
Check-in and overnight stay in the Desert
Arrive at your desert camp and settle into your accommodation. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Wahiba Sands, followed by dinner and an evening under the desert sky. Overnight stay at Sama al Wasil or Arabian Oryx camp or similar hotel.
Transfer from Wahiba Sands to Nizwa
Leave the desert after breakfast and travel towards Nizwa, one of Oman’s most historic cities. Enjoy a scenic journey through the changing landscapes of the Al Dakhiliyah region. The transfer takes approximately 2.5 hours.
Nizwa Souq
Explore the traditional Nizwa Souq, located next to the famous Nizwa Fort. Wander through the lively market and discover Omani handicrafts, silver jewelry, pottery, spices, dates, traditional products and local sweets. The souq offers a wonderful glimpse into everyday Omani culture and traditional commerce. If visiting on Friday morning, you may also have the chance to see the famous traditional livestock market.
Nizwa Fort
Visit one of Oman’s most impressive historical landmarks and one of the country’s finest examples of defensive architecture. Built in the 17th century, the massive circular fort rises approximately 34 metres and features thick walls, defensive openings and a complex staircase leading through fortified doors. Explore its historic rooms, exhibits and courtyard while learning about Nizwa’s important role in Oman’s history and governance.
Lunch in Nizwa
Take a break for lunch at a local restaurant in Nizwa and enjoy traditional Omani or regional dishes. Lunch is at your own expense. Allow approximately 1 hour before continuing to the next attraction.
Transfer to Birkat al Mouz
After lunch, leave central Nizwa and travel to the historic village of Birkat Al Mouz. The transfer takes approximately 30 minutes.
Birkat Al Mouz
Stop in the charming village of Birkat Al Mouz for a short walk of approximately 20 minutes. Explore the traditional mud-brick houses, narrow paths and surrounding date palm plantations. The village is also known for its historic falaj irrigation system and beautiful views of the mountains, offering a glimpse into traditional Omani village life.
Transfer to Jebel Akhdar
Leave the museum and continue towards the mountains of Jebel Akhdar, known as Oman’s “Green Mountain.” The drive takes approximately 1 hour and includes a scenic ascent into the Hajar Mountains.
Jebel Akhdar – The Green Mountain
Explore the spectacular landscapes of Jebel Akhdar, one of Oman’s most beautiful mountain regions. Located high in the Hajar Mountains, the area is known for dramatic cliffs, deep valleys, terraced villages and orchards growing pomegranates, apricots and other fruits. Enjoy panoramic mountain views and the peaceful atmosphere of this unique high-altitude region.
Transfer to the Mountain Hotel
Continue from Jebel Akhdar to your accommodation in the mountains. Enjoy the scenic mountain roads and views as you make your way to the hotel.

Transfer to Amouage Factory
Continue your journey towards the Amouage Factory, where you can discover one of Oman’s most internationally recognized luxury fragrance brands. The transfer takes approximately 1.5 hours.

Visit the Amouage Factory and discover how the brand’s distinctive luxury perfumes are created. Learn more about the fragrance-making process, explore the production facilities and discover the ingredients and craftsmanship behind Amouage fragrances. You will also have the opportunity to sample selected fragrances and purchase your favorites at your own expense.
Transfer to Muscat Airport or Your Hotel in Muscat
After your visit to the Amouage Factory, continue to Muscat. Depending on your travel plans, we can arrange a transfer to Muscat International Airport or to your hotel in Muscat. This marks the end of your tour.
