Doi Inthanon was noticeably cooler than the city, such a nice change. The twin pagodas were stunning and our guide explained the significance behind them really well. Waterfall stop was a great photo break too.

Booked the option with entrance fees and hotel pickup included, made the whole day completely stress-free. Guide was knowledgeable about the park's ecology and the hill tribe village stop felt respectful, not exploitative.

Beautiful full day out, the summit area is surprisingly lush and cool for Thailand. Lunch included was tasty. Only wish we'd had a bit more free time at the pagodas since they're so photogenic.

Highest point in Thailand and it really does feel like a different climate up there. Our guide made the boardwalk nature trail interesting with info on the local birds and plants. Well organized from pickup to drop-off.

Loved the mix of nature and culture on this trip — waterfalls, the royal pagodas, and a stop at a hill tribe village. Guide was patient with our group's questions and clearly passionate about the park.

Great value tour covering a lot of ground in one day. The meeting point option worked well for us since we were staying centrally. Pagodas and waterfall were the highlights for sure.

Such a refreshing break from the city heat. Our guide knew all the best photo spots at the pagodas and the waterfall was gorgeous even in the dry season. Lunch was simple but good.

Frequently Asked Questions

The two $45.44 options cover the same small-group tour — one includes hotel pickup, the other meets at a fixed point in the city. The $56.80 option adds the national park entrance fees on top of hotel pickup, so you don't need to pay separately at the gate.
If you book the $45.44 options, park entrance fees are not included and you'll need to pay these yourself at the gate. The $56.80 option includes entrance fees, so nothing extra is needed on the day.
Doi Inthanon is Thailand's highest point (2,565m) and noticeably cooler than Chiang Mai city, sometimes by 10°C or more — a light jacket is a good idea, especially in the cool season (November–February) when it can feel genuinely chilly.
The tour includes hotel pickup and drop-off, transportation, an English-speaking guide, and lunch, plus stops at the summit pagodas, a waterfall, and a hill tribe village along the way.
Yes — most of the sightseeing (pagodas, viewpoints, waterfall) is accessible via short walks and boardwalks rather than strenuous hiking, making it manageable for most fitness levels, though the full day does involve a fair amount of time in the vehicle covering mountain roads.
Doi Inthanon is roughly a 1.5 to 2-hour drive from Chiang Mai city, which is factored into the 9-hour full-day itinerary alongside time at the summit, waterfalls, and village stop.
