Chiang Mai 2-Day: Good Morning Elephant and Overnight Homestay by Local Operator

Hand on heart one of the best experiences I have ever done. The highlight undoubtably was the homestay and my guide - Chang/ Chanchaijai he was so knowledgable. Eating dinner at the table while the elephant ate theirs directly in front of you. Feeding them breakfast in the morning as they happily walk towards your lodge. You had so much one on one time with the elephants and You can see the elephants are cared for and are really happy. Plenty of food that you actually help to cook in the evening and breakfast. We had the most amazing experience! We first did a day trip with our tour guide, Aom, who was absolutely incredible. She was so kind, funny and brilliant with the children — she quickly became our daughter’s favourite person! We had such a fantastic day with her that we found out about the option to stay overnight, and we knew we had to do it. Suk, our overnight guide, was extremely helpful, very funny and incredibly knowledgeable. He made the experience even more special and was fantastic with our family. Unbelievable, this was the best experience ever. Up close and personal with so many elephants & felt very safe & that they were all very well cared. Such gentle giants. We bathed them, fed them, walked among them, and we were advised carefully about which ones we could safely touch and which we couldn’t. The younger baby elephants are hilarious, such big personalities, possibly best day of my life. You do need to be fit and mobile though to trek between all the sanctuaries I was exausted at end of the two day trip,

I would recommend this trip for anyone who wants to see elephants up close and personal. I would like to thank our guide Mr. Noui (sorry for the spelling) for going out of his way to help my wife. She has MS and was the first handicapped guest to spend the night at the sanctuary. All of the guides went out of their way to make sure she was safe, comfortable and able to enjoy the elephants. The highlights were having dinner and waking up with the elephants.

Our guide was incredibly kind and helpful, which made the whole trip so special! The tour was packed with amazing activities, and every single moment was fulfilling. Learning about the elephants, feeding them, and listening to the guide’s insightful explanations was wonderful. Plus, staying right in the middle of nature and waking up to elephants nearby—what a rare and unforgettable experience! It was beyond worth every penny, and I highly recommend this tour to everyone. This tour is a mixture - we had a big group in the day time to do the elephant activities but only 3 of us stayed at the wooden huts overnight. Daytime was go, go, go, photo, photo, photo. Evening was quiet and relaxing. This part was the best as we get to see the elephants in a completely different environment. We also enjoyed talking to our tour guide Mr Noi who shared some interesting stories about his life. He looked after us well and was always available during our stay. This was an amazing experience! What a beautiful setting! The people that work at the sanctuary are just incredible and give the elephants the best care. It was so cool to feed them and get up close. Highly recommend!

Omg it was absolutely fantastic. Our guide could not have been better. He has so much knowledge and everybody thought he was great. He helped me so much as I do have some difficulty with heights and climbing and without him I could not have done the trip. He was so patient and so pleasant. I would recommend him for any trip as a guide.
