This is a 3-hour experience in Chiang Mai, built around Wat Chedi Luang, Wat Phra Singh and Wat Lok Moli. It is run by Sun Leisure World Corporation, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples sit side by side across Japan and the etiquette differs slightly: at a shrine, bow at the torii, rinse hands and mouth at the water basin, then bow twice, clap twice, bow once at the hall; at a temple, no clapping, hands together, and incense if it is offered. Photography is fine outside and usually not inside halls. Zen meditation sessions, zazen, are taught at several Kyoto and Tokyo temples in 30 to 60 minute sittings with the posture explained; a shukubo temple stay adds the morning service and vegetarian shojin ryori. Shoes come off at every hall.

The price covers Entry ticket, guide and Transfer in Tuk Tuk. It does not cover Hotel pick-up, Hotel drop-off, Lunch and Breakfast, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

We had a great tour with Ooh la la. She was very informative and spoke excellent English. We went to several temples, most of which we saw in daylight just as the sun was setting. She made the tour very informative especially for our 9 year old daughter who loved learning about the different days of the week Buddha and putting a gold leaf on the Buddha on her birthday day Buddha! We also loved the rope which lifted up the water to splash at the top of the temple for luck. My only criticism would be that it would be nice to have hotel pick up with the tut tut

We enjoyed the history of the temples! However, we wished there was more time for us to browse around and take pictures alone, then regroup on the tour. We also would have enjoyed more time in the markets, we only ended up going to one and the rest of the tour were of temples. Our guide was very pleasant and we appreciate her knowledge of the Buddhism and the culture of Chiang Mai. Would def recommend if you enjoy deep diving into all the template that Chiang Mai has to offer!

Tour was excellent! Going in the evening was beautiful and avoided the heat of the day. Why lucked out and got to experience the Sunday market as well. Was a great experience overall, highly recommend!
