This is a 4-hour experience in Chiang Mai. It is run by Oh-Hoo, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Japanese cooking classes usually build a meal around dashi, the kombu and bonito stock that sits under miso soup, simmered dishes and noodle broths, and then one or two headline dishes: rolled sushi or nigiri, gyoza, tempura, okonomiyaki, or a bento box. Wagashi classes make the seasonal sweets served with tea from sweet bean paste. Most classes run two to three hours in a home kitchen or a small studio, and vegetarian versions replace the bonito with a kombu-shiitake dashi. The cooking itself turned out better than I thought. All our food tasted fresh and delicious and it was a fun activity. My only problem was that when I booked This online it showed that they could pick me up at my hotel and that was not the case. I had to take a cab to a different meeting point and then we had to get into the back of a pick up truck and spend 30 minutes picking everyone else up at their hotels. I would rather just take cab straight to the market and met them there. I also Wish they had a description of some of the food before you had to choose what you wanted when you were in
