Full description
This is a 13-hour experience from Chiang Mai, built around Mae Kachan Hot Spring, Wat Rong Khun and Wat Rong Suea Ten. It is run by CHIANG MAI DAY TRIP, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples sit side by side across Japan and the etiquette differs slightly: at a shrine, bow at the torii, rinse hands and mouth at the water basin, then bow twice, clap twice, bow once at the hall; at a temple, no clapping, hands together, and incense if it is offered. Photography is fine outside and usually not inside halls. Zen meditation sessions, zazen, are taught at several Kyoto and Tokyo temples in 30 to 60 minute sittings with the posture explained; a shukubo temple stay adds the morning service and vegetarian shojin ryori. Shoes come off at every hall.
The price covers Roundtrip transfer, Air-conditioned van, Driver, Tour guide and Thai Lunch Meal. It does not cover Personal expenses and Long Neck Village ticket is not included with the "Without, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

An awesome day with our wonderful guide MM. It was a long day but with MM’s knowledge & expertise we navigated the lines & made the most of our time at each place - by giving us lots of background during the driver weed able to see the temples & places at our own pace The lunch was so good with a wonderful variety of northern Thai food This is a long day 13hrs but broken up into manageable sections it was a great tour
This tour was amazing!! The itinerary was perfect, our guide Goi was fantastic, the temples were beautiful - we couldn't have asked for a better day. I highly recommend this tour. It is a long day, but definitely worth it, especially if you are lucky enough to have Goi as a tour guide :)

Excellent guide, excellent and very interesting tour. For improvement: Give more time at each stop. The times were short and there was not enough time to enjoy the place.
A fantastic day trip and definitely worth the long journey from Chiang Mai. The White, Blue and Red Temples were all stunning and each offered something different. The Long Neck Village was also an interesting cultural stop and gave us the opportunity to learn more about the local community. Our guide, MM, was excellent throughout the day. She kept us informed about where we were going, what to expect at each stop, and provided useful background information without overwhelming us. This meant that when we arrived at each location, we had plenty of time to explore at our own pace and enjoy the

MM was a terrific guide. Lots of humour and information. The places we saw were amazing and MM gave us lots of information. This is a long tour so be prepared for lots of sitting in the van. Overall I enjoyed it very much.
I loved the white temple it was on my bucket list. We had ample time in the temples to look and take photos. Its amazing we could do all this in 1 day from Chiang Mai. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and had a great sense of humour, especially so early in the morning. Coach was comfortable and lunch catered for everyone.
What an amazing experience! From start to finish I was in awe! I’ve discovered so much about the long neck tribes, how they live and maintain themselves. And then the Temples! Oh my, the Temples were just amazing and thinking that some of them opened in the 90’-20’ it’s unbelievable. Our guide Goi, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I was lost for words at the beauty and attention for detail of each temple. It’s an incredible experience and you’ll not be disappointed. I highly recommend this tour if you are in Chiang Mai.
