Full description
This is a 8-hour experience from Chiang Mai, built around Dantewada Land and Mae Taeng District. It is run by Chiangmai Local Tour Guide, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples sit side by side across Japan and the etiquette differs slightly: at a shrine, bow at the torii, rinse hands and mouth at the water basin, then bow twice, clap twice, bow once at the hall; at a temple, no clapping, hands together, and incense if it is offered. Photography is fine outside and usually not inside halls. Zen meditation sessions, zazen, are taught at several Kyoto and Tokyo temples in 30 to 60 minute sittings with the posture explained; a shukubo temple stay adds the morning service and vegetarian shojin ryori. Shoes come off at every hall.

We had the best day with our tour guide, Non. He was amazing and taught us so much about Thai culture. Non was happy to teach and was very cheery and polite. He took us to a local market too and showed us around, and made each stop on the day trip even better by teaching us things as he took us around. His attention to detail was amazing and he always made sure to supply us with fresh, ice cold water and snacks. He even recommended his favourite foods at the restaurant we ate at for lunch for us to try (and helped my friend to pick a non spicy option) and he bought mango sticky rice for us to

The trip and tour guide, Tom was amazing! We visited all sights and were learning so much information about Thailand’s rich history, culture, and religions. Tom was very accommodating, kind, and patient throughout the day. We visited many temples, a local farmers market, had an adventure at the sticky waterfalls, ate a delicious local meal from locally grown ingredients, and finished at the relaxing and beautiful Dantewada. The tour exceeded our expectations and was well worth the booking.
We hebben een hele leuke dag gehad. We waren maar met drie wat aanvoelde als een privé tour. Syphon is een geweldige gids die goed Engels spreekt en veel wist te vertellen. Absoluut een aanrader. Bedankt.
