Full description
This is a 4-hour experience from Chiang Mai, built around Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, Kruba Srivichai Monument and Wat Pha Lat. It is run by TripGuru Thailand, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Nagoya is Japan's fourth city and the gateway to the Ghibli Park at Nagakute, opened in 2022 with timed tickets that sell out weeks ahead, to Nagashima Spa Land and its rollercoasters, and to Inuyama, whose castle is one of the twelve original keeps. Nagoya Castle's golden dolphins and the Toyota Commemorative Museum are the city's own sights, and hitsumabushi grilled eel and miso katsu are its food. The Ise Grand Shrine, Shinto's most sacred site, rebuilt every twenty years, is 90 minutes south.
The price covers Hotel pickup, Transportation by air-conditioned vehicle, Tour guide, Entry fees and A glass bottle of drinking water. It does not cover Temple offering, Meals and other drinks and Hotel drop-off, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

Traveler Reviews
The guide T Pornchai was great. He guided us very well and explained historical facts of all temples very well. As this was an early morning tour it was less crowded and atmosphere was calm and peaceful. We enjoyed the morning rituals of monks like chanting and meditation in Doi Dithep temple. We also enjoyed the sunrise from Doi Suthep sun rise point. Overall it was an excellent experience covering three temples in this early morning tour.
Cannot recommend this tour enough, THANK YOU Tomtam! The early pickup was worth it. We were the only two doing the tour for the day, so the unexpected private tour made it even more special. The experience felt very authentic, seeing Monks perform their morning chants and learning about Thai temple traditions. Tomtam was a fantastic guide, very attentive and patient with our many questions. We especially loved the second stop at the “hidden temple”. It was absolutely beautiful! Our trip to Chiang Mai would’ve been incomplete without this tour.
It was a great tour, and Mr. Banana shared a lot of interesting information with us. He was knowledgeable and made the experience even more enjoyable.
Thank you Banana for your thoughtful guidance! We could learn a lot about Buddhism and various details of the temples we visited! Great tour!
Would recommend this experience! Our tour guide Happy was awesome, super friendly and knowledgeable!
Our guide Peter was very knowledgeable and helped with our questions. We saw some wonderful places and the view from Doi Suthep was beautiful, even if it rained so there was not much sun. Good transportation - the glass water bottles were a nice touch to avoid plastic. We really enjoyed Pha Lat too, but felt like the stop at Umong could have been a little shorter.
That was a very nice tour, we were picked up about 4:40 am from our hotel and visited 3 beautiful temples . Our guide Nuttaya (as far as remember it was her name) was very informative, energetic (in contrast to sleepy us) and lots of fun to spend time with. All 3 temples are very different and worth visiting. We loved it!
Great tour, Happy is an amazing guide with good positive energy and very educated and wordly
It was a lovely temple tour with Banana. He’s very knowledgeable and definitely helped me learn more about Chiang Mai and the history of the temples.
Absolutely amazing. My tour guide Peter was very informative and helpful. He takes really good pictures too!
Banana was so fun, so informative and tended to all of our needs. I am a solo traveller and me made me, other solo travellers and the rest of the group feel very welcoming. It felt inclusive and well-run. Thank you, Banana and our wonderful driver!
Nice tour. Really early, so the temperature was nice (boiling hot during the day) Because we were so early, it was very calm. Hardly any other people at the temples, or on the roads. Nice to see, three different types of temples. No rush, no waiting also.
