Full description
This is a experience from Chiang Mai, built around Mae Win, Hidden gem and Traditional village. It is run by Chiang Mai Footsteps Travel, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Japan's outdoors is organised: trails are marked, mountain huts are booked, and the walking routes with history, the Nakasendo post road between Magome and Tsumago and the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage in Wakayama, are done in comfortable day stages with luggage forwarded. Cycling tours use the flat river paths and back streets that cars avoid. The summer heat from July to September makes early starts essential in the cities and lowlands, while the mountains are cool. Winter turns Hokkaido and Nagano into ski country from December to March, with the powder that Niseko and Hakuba are known for.
The price covers Round-trip transportation, Hotel pickup and drop-off, tour guide, Lunch and Accident insurance. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
Hotel pickup in Chiang Mai. Chiang Mai Footsteps Travel confirms your pickup time and the exact spot once the booking is in. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with Chiang Mai Footsteps Travel before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

Traveler Reviews
Such an amazing experience, 10/10 would definitely recommend. Our guide; Tony was amazing, super friendly and made the whole experience so enjoyable.
Wij hebben genoten van deze trip met gids Witoon. Hij was heel grappig en heeft ons allerlei natuur dingen laten zien. De combinatie van wandelen, olifanten voeren en raften was super! De lunch was ook prima geregeld!
Elephant feeding and bathing was the highlight of our trip, would d highly recommend this tour, tour guides were excellent and made the trip fun
The bamboo rafting was a lot of fun and beautiful views. The transportation was comfortable and the tour well Coming around the river to see elephants playing in the river was an extraordinary experience. Highly recommend this activity.
nos gustó todo! Los Elefantes, los botes de bambú, la comida y el guía!
Genial todo la verdad y gente muy amable
We were completely unsatisfied with a major element of this trip: the transportation. We were picked up in a public transport vehicle that was totally unsafe. It had no seatbelts and was the equivalent of a local city bus or shuttle, which was driving on the open highway. It is specified in the event description that we would be transported in a van, and/or a car for the day. We could not store our items anywhere because we were not taken in a van as mentioned in the activity description (there were literally no closeable doors or windows on the back of the vehicle). We felt unsafe the entire d
