Full description
This is a 3-hour experience in Chiang Mai, built around Wat Chiang Man, Three Kings Monument and Wat Phra Singh. It is run by Beyond Experience, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Japan's outdoors is organised: trails are marked, mountain huts are booked, and the walking routes with history, the Nakasendo post road between Magome and Tsumago and the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage in Wakayama, are done in comfortable day stages with luggage forwarded. Cycling tours use the flat river paths and back streets that cars avoid. The summer heat from July to September makes early starts essential in the cities and lowlands, while the mountains are cool. Winter turns Hokkaido and Nagano into ski country from December to March, with the powder that Niseko and Hakuba are known for.
The price covers guide and Bottle of water. It does not cover Entrance ticket of Wat Phra Singh, Food and Tips, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
Beyond Experience sends the meeting point and time by email as soon as the booking is confirmed. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with Beyond Experience before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

Great having a tour guide show me around the city and the temples. It was nice experiencing these historic places and learning more about the area.
Great Morning tour. I feel like I learned so much about the history of Thailand and felt immersed in the buildings and the history of each temple. Jen was great. easy to understand, comfortable to chat to and good company. I booked the night before, early August and had a private tour. was amazing value and definitely recommend.
Great way to see the city and temples on our first day. Our guide was great and made sure to give us good recommendations for food / coffee. The tour was a good length and we were very satisfied. Also learned men don’t necessarily need pants but women do.
Jen is an amazing guide. She knows all the good spots in the town for coffee and shopping. She knows the history very well and explains everything in detail without rushing.
Shoutout to Jen for letting us spent the morning with her, learning about Chiang Mai principles temples and showing us the most beautiful places.
This was a great walkthrough of some of the main temples of Chiang Mai. Danny was a kind and helpful guide who was also just a very cool, authentic and genuine guy. Recommended!
Loved learning about the history of Chiang Mai and some of its many temples! A much more enriching experience than just walking around and taking photos with no context. Jen was very knowledgeable and also gave some great recommendations for local coffee and food which I grabbed on my walk back to my hotel :)
Excellent tour! Jen was very knowledgeable and a great tour lead. Many thanks, Jen!
We had an excellent tour of the temples of Chaing Mai. Jen our guide was really knowledgeable and gave us great insights into the history of Chiang Mai and her temples. We had a great morning.
Jen was a fantastic guide and made the walking tour of Chiang Mai Old City both enjoyable and informative. She shared a wealth of knowledge about the city's history, culture, and temples, bringing each site to life with interesting stories and insights. I highly recommend Jen to anyone wanting a deeper understanding of Chiang Mai.
Jen was an amazing tour guide with expansive knowledge of Chiang Mai and its many beautiful temples. Thank you for sharing your passion with us Jen, and hope to see you again when back in Chiang Mai. Must do tour if you’re visiting Chiang Mai for the first time!
wonderful journey. Very supportive and joyful team. perfect organization. we enjoyed a lot of meeting with elephants, sweeming in waterfall and rafting on bamboo. Special thanks to our guide Aamm, smily man that guided us whole the trip. Thanks a lot
