This is a 3-minute experience from Chiang Mai, built around Three Kings Monument, Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang. It is run by Discova Thailand, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Japan's outdoors is organised: trails are marked, mountain huts are booked, and the walking routes with history, the Nakasendo post road between Magome and Tsumago and the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage in Wakayama, are done in comfortable day stages with luggage forwarded. Cycling tours use the flat river paths and back streets that cars avoid. The summer heat from July to September makes early starts essential in the cities and lowlands, while the mountains are cool. Winter turns Hokkaido and Nagano into ski country from December to March, with the powder that Niseko and Hakuba are known for.

I had an amazing tour, and the guide (Bim) was incredibly kind, making the entire experience really enjoyable and engaging. All the tickets for the temple entries were included, and even the tuk-tuk rides were arranged. It was such a pleasant way to discover local insights and hidden gems! I really recommend this tour :)

We had the pleasure of having Bim as our guide, she was an absolute superstar. The tour was just 2 of us which meant we could ask questions as they popped up (Bim had all the answers!). It made it extra special knowing that Bim was of Lanna heritage, it felt like a personal guide to the history of the city - would highly recommend, loved every second. We did the 5pm tour which was perfect to avoid the heat and got to see the temples at golden hour.
