Full description
This is a 13-hour experience from Chiang Mai, built around Mae Kachan Hot Spring, Wat Rong Khun and Wat Rong Suea Ten. It is run by CHIANG MAI DAY TRIP, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples sit side by side across Japan and the etiquette differs slightly: at a shrine, bow at the torii, rinse hands and mouth at the water basin, then bow twice, clap twice, bow once at the hall; at a temple, no clapping, hands together, and incense if it is offered. Photography is fine outside and usually not inside halls. Zen meditation sessions, zazen, are taught at several Kyoto and Tokyo temples in 30 to 60 minute sittings with the posture explained; a shukubo temple stay adds the morning service and vegetarian shojin ryori. Shoes come off at every hall.

I highly recommend this experience! It was wonderful, and a big part of that was thanks to our guide, Goi! She was super friendly, funny, and created such a relaxed and fun atmosphere throughout the day. The temples were absolutely beautiful and impressive The drive was a bit long, but thanks to our skilled driver, it was smooth and we barely even felt the journey! Every time we arrived at a temple, Goi made sure to personally approach each of us and explain everything individually, rather than just giving a general explanation to the whole group. This was an incredible day trip, Goi was an amazing guide! Goi taught us so much about the temples we visited and about Buddhism, and took such wonderful pictures of us! The sights were breathtaking and the cafe was really good too! Had such a good time. Beautiful way to see Chiang Rai.

Café Lalita is a beautiful and peaceful place to relax in Chiang Mai. The ambience is warm and inviting, with lovely décor, flowers, trees and a cozy atmosphere. The food and drinks were fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. I would happily come back again!
