Full description
This is a 9-hour experience from Chiang Mai, built around Wat Chammathewi, Wat Phra That Haripunchai Woramahawihan and Wat Phra That Lampang Luang. It is run by TripGuru Thailand, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples sit side by side across Japan and the etiquette differs slightly: at a shrine, bow at the torii, rinse hands and mouth at the water basin, then bow twice, clap twice, bow once at the hall; at a temple, no clapping, hands together, and incense if it is offered. Photography is fine outside and usually not inside halls. Zen meditation sessions, zazen, are taught at several Kyoto and Tokyo temples in 30 to 60 minute sittings with the posture explained; a shukubo temple stay adds the morning service and vegetarian shojin ryori. Shoes come off at every hall.

I had a great tour! Wassana was on time ( few minutes early actually 😊) right from the start she was explaining the history of the main road we were driving on and gave lots of information about the area and history of each place we visited. She’s was such a happen person, which only made the tour better. I learned many new things today, tasted a few new Thai foods as well. Der Guide hat nicht nur ausführlich über die eigentlichen Ziele gesprochen, sondern auch weitere Zusammenhänge und den Alltag angesprochen. Er nahm sich stets viel Zeit und hetzte nicht durch den Tag. Der Guide sprach sehr gut verständlich Englisch, sodass auch Gespräche möglich waren und nicht nur auswendig gelerntes Wissen aufgesagt wurde. Guide und Fahrer haben Spaß an der Aktivität vermittelt.
Interessante, vielfältige Tempeltour an weniger überlaufenen Orten mit kurzen Abstechern auf zwei lokale Märkte.
