This is a 3-hour experience in Chiang Mai. It is run by Living Green Elephant Sanctuary Chiang Mai and Chonburi, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

The visit to the Elephant Sanctuary completely exceeded our expectations. The guide at the sanctuary had many years of experience and lots of knowledge about each one of the elephants; current social and financial problems in regards to overall elephant welfare in Thailand; and many other facts to share with us. We got to feed and interact with all 8 elephants at this sanctuary; bathed them; and walked part of the property. But most important of all - the elephants seemed content, relaxed and happy. No chains, whips, electric guards or barbed wires anywhere. This is a truly great sanctuary for
communication with the company was fantastic. they kept you informed with timing of the arrival for the driver. jumbo our guide at the sanctuary was brilliant had a good sense of humor.
Had a wonderful time at the Living Green Elephant Sanctuary. Our tour guide was Crazy Man and he was exceptional! Very informative about the sanctuary, the elephants, and our safety. The elephants are so beautiful and so at peace. We got to feed them and take pictures with them as well as bathe with them (optional). We were fed very tasty Pad Thai for lunch and had the chance to view their souvenir shop. I'm very happy to have purchased these tickets knowing that it further benefits the sanctuary. Highly recommended this activity.
Having done an Elephant Show in Chiang Mai 20 years ago, it was amazing to see the interactions of the sanctuary as they work with elephants that were previously used in various roles. The closeness to the animals all day was quite different and enjoyable.
It was a wonderful experience. Being able to see these beautiful animals up close like this is a once in a lifetime moment. Our three guides Jumbo ‘crazy man’, Adam and Don were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and great photographers!! Don’t worry about not having pictures as a solo traveller.

Guides were amazing, the elephants are well taken care of and not only a cool experience. There was a lot of knowledge about elephants and it was well worth every dollar. Will suggest this to anyone visiting the region
Experience was fantastic!! This sanctuary really cares for the elephants and does not force them to do anything at all. In fact, when feeding them they even split into buckets per elephant and have you stop when the buckets are done. Guide crazy man aka Jambo was fantastic in the afternoon session. Driver was great and even arrived at hotel a bit early. Highly recommend supporting them for anyone who wants an ethical elephant experience!

What a beautiful day! The elephant sanctuary is unforgettable and such a special way to get close to these amazing animals. I love that they take such good care of the elephants and that it’s a real sanctuary for them. We got to feed and bathe them and take great photos and had a lovely lunch followed by a lot of information from our hosts. Appreciate the place and everyone who works there!
