Full description
This is a experience from Chiang Mai, built around Mae Taeng River, Mae Taeng District and Bua Thong Sticky Waterfalls. It is run by Chiangmai One Day Trip, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Arashiyama, on Kyoto's western edge, is the bamboo grove, the Togetsukyo bridge over the Katsura river, the gardens of Tenryu-ji and the monkey park on the hill above. The bamboo path is about 500 metres and is photographed empty in every guidebook because those photographs are taken before 7:30; by mid-morning it is a procession. Rickshaw runs, the Sagano scenic railway along the gorge, and boat rides down the Hozu rapids all start here. Autumn colour peaks in the second half of November and cherry blossom around the first week of April.

Great booking!! Would highly recommended if you wanted an adrenaline high day plus relaxation on the bamboo rafting. We saw wild elephants and buffalo in the river all the way. Great service from the staff. Especially Yabel. She was fantastic all day giving us all the information we needed.
We highly recommend doing this activity, we had such a fun day exploring Chiang Mai’s nature and seeing the elephants. We did white water rafting, bamboo rafting and had a really delicious lunch. The sticky waterfall was really fun to explore. Yabil was very attentive, explained everything clearly and she took care of us and even bought us a coffee when waiting for others to finish the activity 🩷
our guide Mr Joe was very punctual, helpful and friendly. He also helped us too a few videos and photos. Water rafting was thrilling and fun. Bamboo river rafting was peaceful. Buatong Waterfall was another good experience. Climbing up the waterfall was a good experience. Lunch was good too. Overall, a memorable experience and thank you so much Mr Joe!
We did the white water rafting, bamboo rafting, and sticky waterfall package. Joe was our guide and he was super friendly and helped to make the entire experience very enjoyable for us.

Fantastic trio with Mr Joe. We were the only group so we ended up getting a private family tour. Lots of fun climbing the sticky waterfall - and surprisingly easy! Lunch was delicious, White water rafting was really fun with an entertaining guide and a relaxing bamboo rafting float through the elephant sanctuaries rounded off the trip well
The trip was nice and well organised. In march the waters were low and calm, ideal for beginners to try out rafting for the first time and still get some adrenaline from small rapids. Joe, our driver and guide, was very engaged, told us about places with passion and took amazing photos! The sticky waterfall was interesting experience, one of a kind. We’ve got enough time to climb it twice. We’re satisfied and wish to come some time in July-October, when the waters are high and adventure more daring.
