Full description
This is a 6-hour experience in Chiang Mai, built around Chiang Mai Mountain Biking & Kayaks, Jeep / SUV and Montha Than Waterfall Visitor Centre. It is run by CHIANG MAI MOUNTAIN BIKING & KAYAKS, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Japan's outdoors is organised: trails are marked, mountain huts are booked, and the walking routes with history, the Nakasendo post road between Magome and Tsumago and the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage in Wakayama, are done in comfortable day stages with luggage forwarded. Cycling tours use the flat river paths and back streets that cars avoid. The summer heat from July to September makes early starts essential in the cities and lowlands, while the mountains are cool. Winter turns Hokkaido and Nagano into ski country from December to March, with the powder that Niseko and Hakuba are known for.
The price covers High-Quality Mountain Bike: Well-maintained in all sizes, Safety Gear: Provided helmet, Escort: Guided by Chiang Mai’sProfessional Mountain, First Aid: Our instructors are certified in First Aid and and Hydration: Water for hydration packs and bottled water are. It does not cover Doi Suthep National Park/lake fee & insurance, 250 baht, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
Chiang Mai. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with CHIANG MAI MOUNTAIN BIKING & KAYAKS before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

Fantastic activity for a thrill seeker! This is not for the faith hearted. I consider myself a fairly fit 29 year old and wow this needed 10/10 effort. The hike is steep and mostly involves climbing. I expected it to be a slight relief moving to the bike however the terrain was rocky and slippery. Do not recommend if you haven’t MTB before! Overall fantastic experience and saw some beautiful views. The 2 food stops are amazing, Pa Kra Pow and Chicken Red Curry
Everything from start to finish up my trip was excellent and exceeded expectations! From the beautiful viewpoints to the amazing trick through the jungle, my God was friendly and funny throughout the whole trip! Absolutely love the downhill mountain biking portion really capped off an amazing adventure!
Very friendly and professional people working here, had a great experience! Definitely would recommend 👌
The activity was great, very challenging! The guide was fantastic!
An incredible day that we will never forget. Tony and Danai were absolutely amazing guides, and extremely patient with us on the walk and bikes. The beginning of the walk had stairs and very steep jungle bushwacking. But after about 1.5km it changed to an ATV type trail and was a lot easier. Still up hill, but manageable even for someone not in the best shape. You just have to get there. Views and lunch at the top were great. It did rain (thunderstorm) on the walk up, but for a northern Canadian, it was a welcome break from the heat and humidity. The mountain biking was tough. My brother had s
I agree with others that the hike is not for beginners because some sections of the hike can be quite steep and challenging. But it was not an issue for me since i hike a lot. The mountain biking is fun, and our tour guide is of great help
The guides were super nice and hilarious. Had a lot of fun.
This was by far my favourite activity I did while in Thailand. Our guide A was amazing full of jokes and showed us many different things as we cycled and hiked. You need a decent level of fitness to have fun and participate.
the claimed route is not the one we took due to burning season, they only let you know what route when you get there... other then that it was pretty good, had all the equipment and first aid needed
Hard, fun, scenic, and it brings a group together!
This hike & bike tour was amazing but this one is def not for beginners. Unless you are not afraid to cycle super steep downhill :)
I loved the whole experience so much! Our guide Tony was so great the whole time. I need to admit; the hike and mountain biking were more challenging than expected, sport shoes (not flip flops) highly recommended! I had a great adventurous time and would highly recommend to people with a quite good fitness level.
