Full description
This is a 13-hour experience from Chiang Mai, built around Mae Kachan Hot Spring, Wat Rong Khun and Wat Rong Suea Ten. It is run by CHIANG MAI DAY TRIP, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples sit side by side across Japan and the etiquette differs slightly: at a shrine, bow at the torii, rinse hands and mouth at the water basin, then bow twice, clap twice, bow once at the hall; at a temple, no clapping, hands together, and incense if it is offered. Photography is fine outside and usually not inside halls. Zen meditation sessions, zazen, are taught at several Kyoto and Tokyo temples in 30 to 60 minute sittings with the posture explained; a shukubo temple stay adds the morning service and vegetarian shojin ryori. Shoes come off at every hall.

It was enjoyable! Our guide, Goi, was so friendly and informative when walking through the temples. It was educational learning about the paintings and art within the temples. I would recommend this tour.
Amazing experience with beautiful temples and a very attentive tour guide. It is 3 hour ride so it wasn’t always comfortable but the breaks on the 3 hour stretches helped.
10/10 - this was the best trip! MM was our guide, she was absolutely amazing! You're only in a small Van, the driver was also very friendly and drove very safe! The lunch was great as well. MM always gave us a briefing about the next stop with lots of information about the temples while being on the road so that made the long drives more interesting and also gave us more time at the temples. the time at the temples was always a perfect amount, not rushed but also not too much where you would get bored. So all in all really a perfect trip, literally have nothing to complain about :)
Our guide was M&M, she was a great guide. Straight to the point, funny and very passionate about her job. She managed two groups in two passenger van, which was not a problem for us. Our passenger van was comfortable for the long ride. This tour only included the tour to the white, blue and red temple- we were very pleased with the tour and the service that was provided. Thank you
