A small electric catamaran that you drive yourself, on the water directly beneath the Louvre Abu Dhabi's dome — and because the motor is electric, the whole thing happens in near silence.

That silence is the point. The Louvre's dome sits over water on purpose and the sound of it from below is part of the design; an outboard engine ruins that, and this does not. You get a short operating briefing, a sunshade and a vented canopy, and then the boat is yours.

No licence or experience is needed. The controls are simple and the area is sheltered.

It is a short experience rather than a long cruise, so treat it as something to pair with a museum visit rather than an afternoon in itself — the natural order is the catamaran first, then the galleries.

⚠️ Louvre Abu Dhabi is closed on Mondays. The water is unaffected, but if you are planning both on the same day, avoid a Monday. And there are age and weight limits per boat, so tell us your group at booking.

If you do one thing at the Louvre in AbuDhabi do this !! Eeek its so cute and the refreshing breeze and calm vibe is essential, easy to board these electric catamarans , very stable and easy to steer so dont worry if you arent a yachtmaster ;) im a woman in her 50’s and if i can do it anyone can . The staff were so lovely .. do 30 minutes its worth the extra (i did 15 minutes thinking id get bored but id happily have floated about on the waters surrounding the Louvre)

We did a 30-minute sunset rental on Valentines Day. This was great fun in an absolutely perfect weather window. The boats are electric, so not real fast but very enjoyable. Anyone can do this. We saw children driving for their parents. Since these are small-boats, if you are unstable on your feet it may be questionable. Beautiful sunset to bring a pretty day to the close.
