Full description

Built for the two situations where a normal city tour does not work: a long layover at Abu Dhabi airport, and a cruise ship calling at Zayed Port for the day. Pickup is from either, and the timing is arranged around your flight or sailing rather than a fixed departure.

Five hours covers the three things worth seeing if you only have one shot. The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, free to enter, with an abaya provided for women at the door. Qasr Al Watan, the working presidential palace, open to visitors and considerably more impressive inside than the exterior suggests. And the Etihad Towers observation deck at 300 metres, which is where the Corniche and the islands finally make sense as a layout.

A licensed guide travels with you throughout, which is the difference between looking at these buildings and understanding them.

⚠️ Two closures to plan around: the mosque does not admit visitors on Friday mornings, and Qasr Al Watan shuts at short notice for state functions. Tell us your date and we will confirm both before you pay — that matters more than usual here, because a layover has no second chance.

A prrfect tour to sneak in a bit and afterwards You see that it‘s worth it, coming back. Our tour guide was extremely strong regarding the facts&figures and history of the country, but even stronger when it‘s comes to religion. Yes. Transport is not included here, so you make your own way to the meeting point. Taxis and Careem are cheap and everywhere, though Abu Dhabi has no metro, so a car is the way to get around. Allow for traffic, which is heavy in the late afternoon.
