Forty-five minutes with a museum educator, walking the highlights of a collection that is arranged in a way almost no other museum uses — and that arrangement is exactly what a guide is useful for.
The Louvre Abu Dhabi hangs its galleries chronologically across civilisations rather than splitting them by country. A Chinese bronze, a Greek one and a Mesopotamian one from the same century share a room, and the point being made only lands if somebody makes it. That is what this tour does, in the time most visitors would spend finding the entrance.
You hear the guide through a headset, so it works even in a full gallery.
⚠️ Your museum entry ticket is not included in this tour and must be booked alongside it. Tell us and we will arrange both together — turning up with only the tour will not get you through the door.
Also worth planning: the museum is closed on Mondays, and the dome's "rain of light" — the pattern its nearly eight thousand stars drop through the galleries — is at its best in the middle of a bright day rather than late afternoon.

The tour was amazing! The guide was very knowledgeable in art and human history, and weaved both into a wonderful tale of presenting the Abu Dhabi Louvre concept perfectly. Now we want to go back when we have more time to explore, and flesh out the details.
Tge tour was fast but the guide was able to cover a the whole museum in 45mins and really having you wanting to spend more time in the exhibits when you get to go back and do the visit at your own pace. The tour is like an amuse-buche of the museum. It was perfect and the delivery was interesting and engaging
Our guide was a fabulous Swedish lady who as well as being super knowledgeable, delivered a tour that was engaging and fascinating for all 7 of us with ages ranging from 83 to 9. Highly recommended if you want to understand the museum far more than just walking round in your own
All was good, there is an interesting approach to the tour as they place everything by similarities and equality of history of different areas and places, like in the first hall there are three masks from different areas and almost the same age and countries, still they are almost similar by the material, type and purpose.
good way to discover the museum in quick time
Tour was very good , but meeting place was not mentioned right. I understood ticket counter, but it was in front of Mona Lisa. So we were late🙄
