Full description

Thirty minutes on an Arabian horse at Al Salah Studs, in the Al Marmoom conservation reserve, with the people who breed them.

The Arabian is the oldest recognised horse breed and the studs here work on bloodlines that are documented back generations. The part that makes this worth doing is not the ride — it is short — but the time before and after it, when someone who knows these animals talks about where each one came from.

A brief instruction session comes first from a professional rider, a helmet is provided, and complete beginners are normal. The ground is flat and the pace is walking.

Afterwards there is Arabic coffee, tea and dates.

Hotel pickup is optional and worth taking; Al Marmoom is out beyond the city and awkward to reach otherwise.

Go early. Between June and September this runs at sunrise or not at all, and even in winter the light in the first hour is what makes the photographs.

Very great experience. Beautiful horses. Our guide Shahid Ahmed was very friendly and we had a great horseride. Our driver Hassan Rauf told us lots of informationen about the landscape on our way. It was very interessting. We also had the opportunity to see some wild animals.

We had the perfect time! Our guide Hassan Rauf was especially nice, he was very helpful throuhgout the whole experience. We enjoyed the horseriding, camel riding, the falcon encounter. This afternoon was one to remember!

The tour was great. Just one comment - please chine the meeting point coordinates. We could have come to the parking place right away. Instead, we were waiting at the main road.

We had an amazing time. Our guide was Amr Hassan, he drove us to the stable and told us a lot about Dubai and even went out of his way to show us his favorite place in Dubai! At Al Marmoom Oasis they also took great care of us, the place is both peaceful and beautiful. The horse riding was great, the man who went with us was really patient. I went with my partner who has never been on a horse and he also had a great first time. My partner waited while I got the chance to canter and gallop. We did the horse riding activity which I definitely recommend, but if we ever come back to Dubai we will book more activities at Al Marmoom Oasis/ OceanAir Travels!

The vibe was fantastic, my daughter really enjoyed the horse riding. The only thing I’d say is if you don’t use own car, and take a cab ride there, make sure you ask the driver to wait for you as it’s in a middle of nowhere! Or order pick up in advance. Fantastic experience

the place is very beautiful, horses are healthy and treated well, no tension among workers and managers, the whole experience was very relaxing. Trainers are very knowledgeable about hirses and were very gentle with them. special thanks to the head of trainers Kamal, Ramadan for prepaing the horses for us and the driver Nouman
