Full description
Afternoon tea in a conservation reserve, which is a stranger and better idea than it sounds.
Al Marmoom is a protected desert rather than a commercial dune field, and this is the quiet end of the Dubai desert market: no dune bashing, no engines, no camp full of coaches. A table is set at the oasis and tea is served while the light goes.
That is the whole proposition. It suits people who want the desert without the adrenaline — anyone who cannot do dune driving for medical reasons, anyone travelling with elderly relatives, and anyone who has already done the standard safari and would rather sit in the desert than be driven across it.
The oasis has birdlife and, at the right hour, gazelle and oryx on the reserve.
Practical notes. Between June and September the afternoon slot is genuinely hot even sitting still; the winter months are what this is for. And it is short — an afternoon rather than an evening — so it pairs well with something else in the same day rather than filling one.

The best choice for a family. easy going and very relaxing. We enjoyed it and we would like to thank all the staff for their kind hospitality and especially our driver Wisal you was so kind and special thanks for the Greek kinds music he put throughout the ride in order to keep our kids entertained!! If you want to relax at a wonderful oasis, ride camels and drink traditional tea and coffee during the sunset, this is for you
10/10 experience - thank you so much Ateer we are very grateful.
It was well organised afternoon full of activities. Good value for money and a great service. Mahdi looked after our tea experience the whole time
The tour was really great. Our kids loved it and our guide Mansoor Manz was amazing.
Fantastic experience! Our guide Lucky was extremely friendly and helpful (and a great photographer). Very smooth pick up. The duration is lite. Just good enough for a short version of the usual safari ride. (We didn’t choose the safari version because it’s too hectic the same day we land. Just right for a taste of the Arabic culture. The luqaimat during traditional tea was amazing!
My partner and I enjoyed the Al Marmoom High Tea in the desert. The lighting was very nice, especially during sunset. The soft lights around the seating area made it feel calm and a little romantic. The food was tasty, with fresh snacks and warm tea. We liked trying everything together. The whole place had a relaxing and pleasant vibe, and we had a really good time as a couple❤️
