The two attractions almost everyone does in Dubai, bought together and both inside Dubai Mall, so the pair costs one trip rather than two.

The Burj Khalifa is 828 metres and the observation decks on levels 124 and 125 sit at around 450. Your ticket is for a fixed entry slot chosen at booking, and the slot matters more than anything else about this visit: sunset sells out weeks ahead and costs more, mid-morning is quiet and clear, and early afternoon in summer is often lost to haze.

Downstairs, the Dubai Aquarium's ten-million-litre tank is the one you have already walked past if you have been in the mall — the ticket adds the walk-through tunnel, the Underwater Zoo above it, the penguins and the nursery.

Allow around ninety minutes for the tower including security, and an hour for the aquarium.

Two practical notes. Entry to the Burj Khalifa is strictly at your booked time, so build in the walk across the mall, which is bigger than it looks. And there is a separate, higher deck on level 148 — this ticket does not include it; tell us if you want that instead.

Absolutely brilliant. I would recommend booking into the BK first and as early as you can...leaving the rest of your afternoon to mooch around the aquarium. Great experience and great value for money.

Queuing at the burj was lengthy but considering it was a Friday evening then perhaps to be expected. A smooth experience in purchasing the tickets and also the experiences themselves. Won't hesitate to use on future trips

We had an amazing time. Every one was so helpful the tower was unbelievable and such an experience. The Aquarium was fantastic and beautifully set out. We spent so much time there and the staff were giving us so much information and making sure we experienced everything. It was a wonderful experience. So glad we did it 👏👏👏

Too many people in the lift for the Burj Khalifa, going up and down. Aquarium and Zoo were good but need more space for the animals as their surroundings were too small.

We did both attractions as a combo. The view from the Burj Khalifa is beautiful and impressive, but in my opinion it is not worth the high price. We arrived around 5:00 PM and waited in line for over an hour just to go up to the observation deck. On the other hand, the Aquarium was excellent and highly recommended. We really enjoyed it — there is a lot to see and it’s a great attraction for the whole family. It was worth the price, there were almost no lines, and it was very fun. The animals are very impressive, including sharks, rare fish, a giant crocodile, penguins, corals, seahorses and more. Definitely an attraction you shouldn’t miss!

One thing worth flagging: level 148 is a separate higher deck and is not included. It is the detail guests most often miss on this experience, so it is better read now than discovered on the day.
They are different tickets. Levels 124 and 125 are the standard observation decks. Level 148 is the At The Top SKY ticket, sits considerably higher, comes with a separate lounge and a shorter queue, and costs a good deal more. Check which one the option you select actually covers.
