Full description

The session for anyone who has never breathed underwater. No certification, no course, no prior experience — an instructor takes you through the theory on land, fits the equipment, and then goes in with you.

Roughly three hours in total, most of which is preparation. The dive itself is shallow and supervised throughout, with the instructor within arm's reach the entire time.

What it is not is a course. You will not leave with a qualification; what you leave with is knowing whether you want one, which for most people is the actual question.

All equipment is provided and instruction is included.

Two practical notes. You must not fly within eighteen to twenty-four hours of diving, so this cannot be your last-day activity — put it early in the trip. And there is a medical questionnaire: asthma, heart conditions, recent surgery and some medications need a doctor's sign-off before you can dive, and finding that out at the dive centre wastes the morning. If anything on that list applies, sort it before you travel.

What I Liked the Most: Definitely our instructor. He had the perfect mix of adventure, calmness, and fun. He matched our energy, understood our excitement, and made the whole dive feel safe but still super thrilling. His vibe was honestly one of the coolest parts of the whole experience. What Could Be Improved: Honestly, nothing. There’s nothing I would change. Everything went beyond our expectations better than we imagined in every way.

We had a great experience with our guide, he was kind, funny and paid attention to us. The diving part was a bit short, but he explained, that as a beginner, we should not dive for more than 45 minutes, so it is understandable, but we still expected a bit more. He explained everything about the equipment, and always checked with us, if we understand everything correctly. First, we went right into the shallow sea. After a few exercises we dove right in. Overall had a great experience, we recommend it!

Super cool, especially the time feeding the fish under water was amazing. The view is so lala not cristal clear but I was aware of that and didn't expected too much when starting from the shore.

Yes. Transport is not included here, so you make your own way to the meeting point. Taxis and Careem are cheap and everywhere, and the Dubai Metro covers most of the main sights. Allow for traffic, which is heavy in the late afternoon.

For anything in open water, yes, and buoyancy aids are worn regardless. Say clearly at the briefing if you are a weak swimmer, because the crew will position you differently rather than turn you away.
