A 1000cc Can-Am, driven by you, across the red dunes — which is a different sport from being a passenger in somebody's 4x4.
The Can-Am is the serious end of desert buggies: roll-caged, wide-tyred, and with enough power to climb dune faces under your own throttle rather than being winched over them. There is a briefing and safety kit first, and an instructor who works out how much machine you can be trusted with before letting you loose.
This is the version people come back for when the standard desert safari felt tame.
The camp evening afterwards — BBQ dinner, belly dance and tanoura shows, shisha, camel ride — is optional and tier-dependent, not automatic. Read which option you are buying: the entry tier is the buggy and the desert, and the camp is added above it.
⚠️ It is physical. You will be gripping, steering and bracing for the whole session, and it is dusty work. Not the one to book with back trouble, and not the one to book expecting a gentle sunset drive.

Had a great time in the desert! The buggy driving was absolutely the highlight, easily the best part of the experience. The rest (camel ride, sandboarding, dinner and show) was nice and well organized, but honestly the buggy ride really eclipsed everything else. Still, a fun and memorable adventure overall!

Brilliant. Driver was in touch to say when he was coming to pick us up bang on time. Got here great briefing with plenty of detail. Buggies not restricted absolute great piece of machinery, rapid very responsive and quick. Great fun tour guides was great helped us with sand boarding etc. but thank you and would recommend as a petrol head from the UK.
From booking to activity this was faultless, absolutely amazing experience. We both go the chance to drive the buggy, stopping halfway for pictures and sand boarding. you do get to open the buggy up and get some speed going. I may have even managed a jump at one point - only for hubby to tell me off (think I scared him!) The guide who picked us up Hammad was great. very prompt. The camel ride we had at the beginning - they are so cute!! The picture they offer is very reasonable and they also offer traditional face coverings to make you more comfortable during the ride - we definitely recommend this for the sand in your face - it's worth paying for! When we come back to Dubai we would certainly book this and do it again. Thank you!
