Thirty minutes on your own machine with a guide riding alongside, out of the Marina and along the coast past JBR, Ain Dubai on Bluewaters, the Palm and the Burj Al Arab.

You drive it yourself. No licence is needed and no experience is assumed — there is a briefing on land, the throttle is simple, and the guide sets the pace and the line so nobody gets lost or ends up somewhere they should not be. If you have never been on one, say so and the pace comes down.

The guide also takes photographs from the water on your phone and sends them across afterwards, which is included and is how most people get the shot of themselves with the Burj Al Arab behind.

Life jacket, jet ski, guide and drinking water are all included.

Worth knowing: you will get wet, so wear something you do not mind soaking and bring a change if you have plans afterwards. Longer durations are available if thirty minutes sounds short — it is enough for the landmarks, but people regularly wish they had booked an hour.
