Full description

An hour on your own machine, which is twice the usual thirty minutes and the difference between seeing the landmarks and actually riding.

The route leaves the Umm Suqeim harbour beside the Burj Al Arab, runs along the Palm's crescent to Atlantis, and comes back down the coast. A guide rides alongside setting the line and the pace.

No licence and no experience needed. There is a briefing on land, the controls are simple, and if you have never been on one the guide slows the whole group rather than leaving you behind.

Photos and videos are taken by the instructor from the water and sent to you afterwards — included, and the reason most people get the shot of themselves with the Burj Al Arab behind rather than a distant phone picture.

Lockers, drinking water and a changing room are provided.

You will get soaked, so bring something you do not mind wet and a change if you have plans after. An hour is the right length; thirty minutes covers the landmarks but people regularly wish they had booked longer.
