Faster and considerably cheaper than a yacht, and for pure sightseeing arguably better — a speedboat sits low, moves quickly between the landmarks, and stops where the photographs are.

The route leaves Dubai Marina, runs out past Ain Dubai on Bluewaters, along the Palm's crescent with Atlantis at the end of it, and stops off the Burj Al Arab, which from the water is the only angle that shows why it was built on its own island.

A guide points out what you are passing and the driver holds position at the stops long enough for everyone to get the shot, rather than circling once and moving on.

Bottled water and proper life jackets are included.

Two honest notes. You will get spray, so phones need a waterproof pouch or a firm grip, and this is not the trip for anyone who wants to stay dry. And it is a shared boat — sociable, quick, and not the one to choose if you were hoping for quiet.

This was fantastic, we did the yacht which we also enjoyed, when we came off the yacht we seen the speed boot and thought why not give it a try, thoroughly enjoyed both and would book again

It was niiice experience, be prepared it goes goes fast and it can be bumpy in the open sea...you feel the wind too once the boat reaches full speed as well as some water drops splashing in your face can happen. You can see a lot in short time. Worth it. 👌
