The Louvre Abu Dhabi is worth going slowly in. Jean Nouvel's dome is a lattice of nearly eight thousand stars that drops a shifting pattern of light across the galleries below — the effect people call the rain of light — and the collection is hung chronologically across cultures rather than split by country, so a Chinese bronze sits beside a Greek one from the same century. Your ticket is included.
The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque needs no argument. Free to enter, an abaya provided at the door, and two hours is right for the hall, the courtyard and the reflecting pools.
⚠️ Plan around two things. The Louvre is closed on Mondays. And the mosque is shut to visitors on Friday mornings, with dress rules enforced on everyone — shoulders and knees covered, nothing sheer. Tell us your date and we will confirm both work before you pay.
A guided tour inside the Louvre is not included; you go at your own pace with the audio guide available at the desk.
