Across the border into Oman for the day, on a traditional dhow, through a coastline that looks nothing like the UAE.

Musandam is the Omani peninsula at the top of the Gulf and it is mountains straight into deep water — steep, folded rock dropping into fjord-like inlets, which is why people call it the Norway of Arabia and why it is worth the drive.

The dhow moves slowly through the inlets with stops for swimming and snorkelling, and dolphins are common rather than promised. Lunch is served on board.

Two hours or so from Dubai each way, with pickup available from Dubai, Sharjah or Ras Al Khaimah.

⚠️ This crosses into Oman. Bring your original passport — not a copy, not a photograph. Visa rules vary considerably by nationality and some passports need one arranged in advance; tell us your nationality when booking and we will confirm what you need before you pay, because being turned back at Dibba costs the whole day.

Bring swimwear, a towel and sunscreen. The snorkelling here is genuinely good and the water is clearer than anything on the Dubai side.

Lovely day in Oman with a great driver + crew on the boat. Nice activities, great food and nice scenery. Only small downside is the slow process of border control (but this is not fault from the organization). All in all, very recommendable!!

Mustafa, the organiser was an amazing person who helped me with some problems I had to get to the trip. He offered me an alternative date beacause last minute i wasnt able to attend the meeting point. He was absolutely helpfull with me and took care of everything to be done properly. The trip was amazing, 1000% worth it!! The driver of the bis was really careful and kind. After that, I had really wonderful time on the boat... The activities, the atmosphere, the food and the service of the people there, were much more better than expected!! This is a trip to remember for sure!! Basically, I will remember the kindness of all the people who are involved to the trip and Mustafa the organiser of caurse! 🙏😊

Everything was amazing. Thanks to the driver and host as me and my friend got lost with wrong direction with taxi to the pickup point. They spoke with the driver and we met up at a convenient place. From the activities and food. It’s a lot. And full with fun and laughter. Everyone from the bus ride to boat was excellent. Day well spent. Thank you will recommend to others . Thank you

The trip was great, included lots of activities but the drop off pick up spot was not ideal, being left at the side of a motorway on a dark evening was not the best it would be better to be collected inside the hospital grounds, especially for those who phone signal wasn’t good

Very great experience in Oman sea to taste if you are visiting U.A.E. Some nice water activities will make it really interesting.
