Around eighty exhibits built on optical and perceptual tricks — rooms that tilt, a vortex tunnel that convinces you the floor is moving when it is not, an infinity room, holograms and a wall of puzzles at the end.
It is a hands-on museum rather than a looking one. Almost everything is designed to be stood in, climbed into or photographed from a specific mark on the floor, and the staff will take the picture from the right angle if you ask.
Allow an hour to ninety minutes. It works across ages in a way few Dubai attractions manage — the perceptual exhibits land equally on adults and children, and the puzzle room at the end holds teenagers who have stopped being impressed by everything else.
Fully indoors and air-conditioned, in Al Seef by the creek, which makes it a good pairing with an old Dubai morning: the souks and the abra first, then this when the heat peaks.
One note: the vortex tunnel genuinely affects balance and there is a handrail for a reason. If you have vertigo or inner-ear trouble, there is a way around it rather than through it — ask at the door.

Traveler Reviews
Only a small museum but well worth a visit, lots of very clever illusions. Friendly staff always on hand to explain how to see the illusion correctly and take pictures.
Tricky to find but well worth it, take your camera or phone. Many fun picture opportunities. All on one level.
brilliant. me and my husband had a great time some of the illusions we didn't know what to do and the worker was more than happy to help with photos and to tell us what to do.
Wont take much time but its beautiful…get some cool pics here…even if u r travelling solo..no issues..the museum staff are really cool and they take pics for u and believe me they know the best spots and how to take pics

The museum was great. The location was amazing. Had a lot of fun exploring the museum. Hardly took us 30 minutes to finish but it was fun for a if you have little time in your hands.
