This is a 3.5-hour experience in Da Nang. It is run by Viet Nam Daily Tours, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

The Japan Rail Pass was repriced in October 2023 to 50,000 yen for seven days, and since then it pays only for itineraries with several long shinkansen legs; a Tokyo to Kyoto round trip alone is cheaper on point-to-point tickets. Regional passes, such as the JR Kansai or Hokkaido passes, are often the better value. Shinkansen seats are reserved or unreserved; the Nozomi is fastest and now included in the pass only with a surcharge. Large suitcases over 160 cm total need a reserved oversize-baggage seat on the Tokaido line.

the trip was very nice and showed us the beautiful landscape of hai van pass. also the contact was really nice and helped us with everything on whatsapp. i would recommend bringing a sweater though, due to the ac being very could on the train
