The Ninh Binh pickup is what makes this worth finding. Almost every Ha Long day cruise runs out of Hanoi, which leaves anyone already in Ninh Binh with a three-hour backtrack to the capital just to come back out again. This one collects you where you are.

That matters because Ninh Binh and Ha Long are the classic northern pairing: the same limestone karst rising out of rice paddies in one and out of the sea in the other. Doing them back to back without returning to Hanoi in between saves most of a day.

The jacuzzi is on the sun deck, which on a cruise through the karsts is a better place to be than the dining room. A buffet is served on board.

Drop-off point is your choice of options, so you can end the day in Ha Long, go back to Ninh Binh, or continue to Hanoi depending on where your trip goes next. Confirm which one you want at booking.

La baie D'Halong est magnifique mais bondée de bâteaux et de touristes. les activités sont faites au pas de courses et on fait la queue les uns derrière les autres. Ceci n'est pas la faute de l'agence cependant. Le bâteau est confortable et propre, le buffet varié. L'équipage est aux petits soins et notre guide Binh était très sympa et parle bien anglais. Le transfert de Nin Binh au bâteau a failli mal se passer, le chauffeur m'ayant déposée au mauvais endroit au port.
