This is a 3.5-hour experience in Hanoi, built around Phin bar by refined, Hanoi Old Quarter and Blackbird Coffee. It is run by Up Travel, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Japan's outdoors is organised: trails are marked, mountain huts are booked, and the walking routes with history, the Nakasendo post road between Magome and Tsumago and the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage in Wakayama, are done in comfortable day stages with luggage forwarded. Cycling tours use the flat river paths and back streets that cars avoid. The summer heat from July to September makes early starts essential in the cities and lowlands, while the mountains are cool. Winter turns Hokkaido and Nagano into ski country from December to March, with the powder that Niseko and Hakuba are known for.

The tour was wonderful, very reasonably priced as it includes all of the coffee and food you're going to eat. My guide Alex was fantastic. He actually reached out before to ask if I had anything to do before or after and if I needed to end in a certain place since I ended up being the only one on this tour. This coffee walking tour in Hanoi was a real highlight of my trip. Lyon was an excellent guide—knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about both coffee and the city. I joined the Walking Coffee Tour in Hanoi and it was such a fun and unique experience. Our guide Jason was very friendly and shared lots of interesting stories about Hanoi’s coffee culture. We visited several local coffee shops, and each one was so different and special in its own way. These were the kinds of places you would never find on your own. This was hands down one of the must-do activities in Hanoi! The tour gave us a chance to discover the city’s hidden soul through its most authentic ritual — coffee.
