Another lovely boat ride and we seemed to be the only tourists there with just our 2 boats on the river. Minh our guide explained all about the various temples and caves we saw and the legend behind them. This is a working shrine with resident monks visited by huge numbers of pilgrims through January to March but quiet when we were there. We chose to go up in the cable car and walked back down which is a great way to do it as the views are largely blocked by almost continuous traders stalls, all empty in September, and the cable car takes the effort out while giving spectacular views. It is wo

Minh was a wonderful tour guide—knowledgeable, experienced, and friendly. He explained the history of the pagoda, temple, and the meaning of the cave very clearly. We truly enjoyed our trip and appreciate all his hard work. Thank you, Minh!

the day trip was great, our guide Minn was amazing and very funny. Our guide being a local to the perfume pagoda was able to give us so much context that you probably can't find on another tour.

Our trip was super interesting. Our guide Minh told us all about the story behind the Perfume Pagoda and led the trip well through the various tour destinations. Our stop for lunch was also incredibly insightful and the food tasted delicious. The boat journey was calm and offered lovely views of the Vietnamese scenery. Just remember to have some cash on you to tip the person that rows your boat. I would recommend this trip as it’s a good eye opener for Vietnamese religious culture.

A great tour of the Perfume Pagoda! Minh was an excellent guide. As someone who grew up in the area, he had an intimate knowledge of the cultural history of the site. Highly recommend.

We had a fabulous tour with our wonderful guide Minh. He was incredibly friendly and shared lots of interesting information about all the sites. We had a lot of fun and learned a great deal. It was a long day, but it wasn't too tiring or stressful. After the tour, he sent us additional photos besides the ones taken on site. These showed the pagoda at different times of the year and during the festival season, giving us a completely new perspective. It was truly wonderful and impressive!

The trip was genuinely an amazing experience for both the scenery and the culture/traditions. Minh was an amazing guide and knew literally everything about the regions history and traditions and gave us a rlly interesting tour. Very kind and knowledgeable. I would recommend hiking if you are fit for it as you can interact with locals and visit some less touristy pagodas.
