Full description
This is a 4-hour experience in Hanoi. It is run by Vietnamtravelers, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Japan's outdoors is organised: trails are marked, mountain huts are booked, and the walking routes with history, the Nakasendo post road between Magome and Tsumago and the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage in Wakayama, are done in comfortable day stages with luggage forwarded. Cycling tours use the flat river paths and back streets that cars avoid. The summer heat from July to September makes early starts essential in the cities and lowlands, while the mountains are cool. Winter turns Hokkaido and Nagano into ski country from December to March, with the powder that Niseko and Hakuba are known for.
Pickup is offered from Old Quarter and Hanoi; the exact spot and time are agreed with Vietnamtravelers once the booking is confirmed, and the option you choose sets whether transport is included.
The price covers Good inclusion, Bottled water, guide, Use of bicycle and Coffee and/or Tea. It does not cover Exclusion, Beverages, Tips for tour guide and personal expences and Pick up from hotel/ stay outside Old Quarter of Hanoi, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

Cycling in the countryside around Hanoi was great. Really enjoyed seeing local villages and visiting the home of a lovely gentleman. Tee was our guide and he was very knowledgeable and informative.
We visited an older couple celebrating the Tet with their family and they made time to show us their traditional home, family pictures, and bonsai trees. Our guide was very enthusiastic and sweet. I really enjoyed the tour.
Tee showed us some great spots. Quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of Hanoi. A quiet tea party in a genteel old house and a chance to find out more about the people of Vietnam’s way of life ( and death). Cycling through the working rice fields was a great memory. I recommend this tour.
Khoi was my guide, I was the only person on the trip so lots of time to chat and talk more about Vietnam in general. Khoi had excellent English skills and the bikes were well maintained. Very tranquil and quiet and a nice escape from the centre of Hanoi for the afternoon.

Great family fun. Nathan our guide did a great job looking after us. Ended up being longer than 4 hours, was a little over 6 hours. Would definitely recommend though.
Cette activité nous a fait passer une après-midi agréable avec notre guide Koï très impliqué. La promenade en vélo pour environ 16 Kms est relativement facile et nous avons eu une autre facette d’Hanoi.
L’excursion est très agréable pour sortir de la ville et découvrir des endroits peu fréquentés par les touristes. Le guide est vraiment sympathique et chaleureux ; il partage la culture vietnamienne d’une manière vivante, bien différente de ce que l’on peut lire dans les livres. Le parcours permet de passer par un temple, des rizières, la maison d’un habitant local, ainsi qu’un petit café au bord d’un étang, ce qui rend l’expérience authentique. Cependant, si vous recherchez une activité sportive, l’excursion reste assez tranquille. Nous avons parcouru environ 17 km, alors que je m’attendais p
Très peu de vraie balade à velo (et paysage moyen), entrecoupée de visites assez longues pour des lieux ayant peu d'intérêt.
Hele leuke activiteit met goede gids. Zeer interessant om te zien hoe een Vietnamese familie woont.
Nous avons un super guide prénommé Minh. Très attentionné, qui a pris le temps de nous expliquer les coutumes locales. Nous avons terminé avec un excellent repas avec lui, dans un restaurant local. Très belle journée ! Je recommande Minh.
