Duong is a knowledgeable guide who explained the facts in great detail. His English is fluent. He patiently answered all our questions and brought the details to life; By example, telling us about actual family stories. We visited the prison, and a black market in rundown housing area away from the tourists spots, and learnt bout the fascinating history of the place.

The best tour so far. It was the highlight of our Hanoi trip. Kien had been very knowledgeable, thorough and fun by leading us into the most precious corners and alleys in the city and also the Hoa Lo prison, offering us a glimpse not only at history, war but also how the community and ordinary people survived the brutalities of war and eventually rebuilt a life overcoming wounds and divides. He also didn’t shy away from revealing the less gloried details of the neighborhood we walked through which made the experience more worthy. Would recommend this tour to anyone who’s interested in history

Kien is a fantastic guide. Excellent English and very knowledgeable about Vietnamese history. I take a lot of tours and this is one of the best I've ever taken. Rare opportunity to see the history of a neighborhood thru the lens of the Vietnam War. Kien also gave us some great restaurant recommendations. Highly recommend this tour!
