This is a 3.5-hour experience in Ho Chi Minh City. It is run by SAIGON ADVENTURE COMPANY LIMITED, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Japanese food tours work because the best places are small, unmarked and full of regulars, and a guide who orders for you opens them. An izakaya crawl covers yakitori, sashimi, karaage and the local pours of sake, shochu and highballs across three or four counters in an evening; a ramen walk explains the broths, tonkotsu, shoyu, miso and shio, and the regional styles. Most places seat eight to twelve and tours run six to eight guests for that reason. Vegetarians should say so when booking, because dashi stock is fish and hidden in almost everything; halal-certified options exist but are fewer.

An amazing tour a good way to sample of the popular cuisine in one evening, my guide Naya was so sweet and friendly and made me feel very safe throughout the tour (also gave me local recommendations for other things like a spa outside of it). The food was amazing and we got to eat a lot of it. They the catered for me being a vegetarian with no hassle at all and meaning I didnt have to skip anything it was just altered. I did the option with 2 Michelin dishes but I would highlight that these are both beef so as a veggie this option may not be worth it if booking for that but the rest of the foo

Day 1 in HCMC and first visit to Vietnam. Great tour - my driver Jenny was safe and quickly relieved any nerves I initially had. For anyone thinking of booking a tour like this I highly recommend. It was so much fun, learning about the different foods and history of the city. The guides are expert drivers and I always felt safe when we were negotiating the Saigon traffic!! All the guides were great but special mention to Thanh Truc who was my driver.
