This is a 1-hour experience in Ho Chi Minh City. It is run by Hoang's Kitchen Saigon Cooking Class, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Japanese craft classes are taught by practitioners who have usually done the craft for decades, and they teach it properly: calligraphy begins with how to hold the brush and grind the ink; pottery on the wheel produces a cup that is fired and posted to you weeks later; ikebana teaches the three-line structure of a Sogetsu or Ikenobo arrangement; indigo dyeing and washi papermaking are done in the workshops of the towns that specialise in them. Classes run one to three hours, materials are included, and most welcome children with a parent.

If you go into the restaurant and speak to them, they will serve you light snacks. The instructor, Vinh, taught with a smile and great dedication. I learned a lot, from different types of coffee and brewing methods to how to make egg cream. I was also able to learn about recommended places to buy coffee and the typical prices, so I feel confident about buying souvenirs safely. I highly recommend it.

Daisy was an amazing and knowledgeable teacher and made the class so fun. We will definitely make egg coffee again at home. Highly recommend this experience. The restaurant location is great too, and has delicious authentic Vietnamese food

Attrape touristes à fuir !! Nous avons passé la journée à faire la queue il y a trop de monde tout ce fait à la chaîne. Il y avait tellement de bateau nous ne pouvions même pas avancé !! Je ne recommande pas du tout
