I did a two-day Cat Tien tour from Saigon and it was one of the most rewarding short trips I’ve taken in Vietnam. Dense jungle, endless bird calls, and that humid green silence you don’t get near the city. Our guide, Daniel, was excellent: calm, funny and knowledgeable. He spotted things I’d have walked past – tracks, nests, snakes in the trees – and explained the ecosystem without it feeling like a lecture.
