This is a 4-hour experience in Hoi An, built around Hoi An. It is run by an's travel, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Japanese craft classes are taught by practitioners who have usually done the craft for decades, and they teach it properly: calligraphy begins with how to hold the brush and grind the ink; pottery on the wheel produces a cup that is fired and posted to you weeks later; ikebana teaches the three-line structure of a Sogetsu or Ikenobo arrangement; indigo dyeing and washi papermaking are done in the workshops of the towns that specialise in them. Classes run one to three hours, materials are included, and most welcome children with a parent.

This is a great half day activity. The coconut boat ride was a lot of fun, as was the coffee class. The guides were super friendly and helpful as always. Highly recommended.

We did this activity as a couple today and it was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The team was incredibly accommodating — we were originally scheduled for tomorrow at 11:00 AM, but after landing earlier than expected, they were able to reschedule us last minute for today at 2:00 PM with no issues at all. The coconut basket boat ride was so much fun and definitely a highlight. Our guide was extremely friendly, made the experience enjoyable, and even took plenty of photos for us, which we really appreciated. It felt lively, scenic, and well organized. The coconut ride and coffee workshop itself was very nice experience, but there were too little time for them. We were confused when the driver didn't speak english at all and we didn't know how much time we have at coconut boat ride, for example do we have time to eat. In coffee workshop we had so little time that the driver came as soon as we got our second coffee done, so we had to drink it very fast. It was quite a stressfull trip.
