This is a 4.5-hour experience in Hoi An. It is run by orange tour, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Japanese cooking classes usually build a meal around dashi, the kombu and bonito stock that sits under miso soup, simmered dishes and noodle broths, and then one or two headline dishes: rolled sushi or nigiri, gyoza, tempura, okonomiyaki, or a bento box. Wagashi classes make the seasonal sweets served with tea from sweet bean paste. Most classes run two to three hours in a home kitchen or a small studio, and vegetarian versions replace the bonito with a kombu-shiitake dashi. You eat what you make, and Japanese teachers are precise about technique.

Really complete experience and so much fun with Houng!!!
This was amazing!!! We were shown round the market where our guide explained how they use different vegetables. We were then taking on a bamboo boat ride, we attempted fishing (we had to tip the fisherman for this) and did the spinning on the boat (you have to pay 100000VND per person for this). The cooking class and lantern class were fun too

We did the afternoon tour which we really enjoyed as it was only our family doing the tour so we were looked after very well. However, the market was closed so if you want to experience the market the morning tour would be more suitable. Our guide was excellent and she did all the activities with us.

Absolutely fantastic! So nice to be off the beaten track, experiencing real vietnam! The coconut boat ride was great and entertaining. The lantern making was great fun, and help and support was provided the whole way through. Then the cooking class was actually even better than expected! So many dishes created with the opportunity of being hands on the whole way through. Learnt so many new skills. Guide was very knowledgable and friendly. Great experience from start to finish!

Es war ein rundum gelungener Ausflug. In kleiner Gruppe, wir beide zusammen mit einer kleinen 3-köpfigen, sehr netten Familie. Und unsere Gastgeberin war einfach Klasse! Der Einkauf auf dem Markt, das Basteln der Laternen, dann die Kokosnusskorbboot Fahrt mit Mallorca-Ballermann-Feeling (total witzig). Und zum Abschluss das Kochen und Essen - spitzenmäßig, was da zusammen gestellt wurde und wie lecker das war. Nochmal DANKE an alle Beteiligten.
