Street Food Tour with a Local Guide in Hoi An

We had so much fun with Trung, such a charismatic person who knew much about local food and the history of the town, we throughly enjoyed our evening! As for the food it was indeed authentic local food, from quiet back alley spots to bustling famous spots we were served quickly with flavoursome, fresh and nourishing meals unlike any we had eaten on previous trips to Vietnam. Would 100% recommend :)

Went to the tour 25/04/2026 with Trung who was a great host, he was really friendly, spoke great English, was funny and knowledgeable. One of the group was pescatarian and he made sure to find options for all of us to enjoy. Highly recommend the tour as we went to places we would not be able to find (or get a seat in!) otherwise. 10/10 !!

Our Hoi An street food tour was an absolute highlight of our trip, all thanks to our amazing guide, Tom! As a local lad, Tom knew the absolute best spots that we never would have found on our own. He was incredibly friendly, passionate, and shared fantastic insights into the local culture and history behind each dish.We sampled a huge variety of authentic street food, each stop better than the last. I had a great experience on this food tour! Hai was so friendly, personable, and easy to talk to. It felt like I was exploring the city with a local friend. She took me to some amazing local spots that I never would have found on my own, and every dish we tried was delicious. We cannot recommend the food tour with Hai highly enough. Since it was our second trip to Hoi An, she made sure we were shown foods we had not already tried but were local to this lovely place. We are now in a food coma and thoroughly enjoyed a mixture of great food and the stories that went along with it.

Tour was amazing. Ate at many places we would never have tried ourselves and the food was delicious. Hai was very knowledgeable on all the dishes and the history of the area.

This was a last minute booking as we couldn’t decide what to do all day. We are a party of two adults, two older teen/young adults and two (fussy!) younger teens. What an amazing way to pass an evening. The food was incredible at every stop. The information given about our food and the places we were passing during the tour was so interesting too! Our guide Hai was just perfect. Her English and knowledge was faultless. Hai also helped us at the get lanterns and boats and coordination of our taxi collection. A real asset to this tour company. We are so glad we didn’t miss this!

The tour started with meeting Hai (our tour guide) at the designated location. Over the next 2.5 hours, Hai brought me through a mix of Hoi An’s must-try foods and places where locals dine for their everyday meals. Hai made the experience very relaxing; it felt like meeting a local friend who was sharing the local culture and introducing the history behind some of the cuisine. I highly recommend this tour and Hai as your tour guide.
