Full description
This is a experience in Hoi An. It is run by Dich vu du lich lang que Cam Thanh, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Japanese cooking classes usually build a meal around dashi, the kombu and bonito stock that sits under miso soup, simmered dishes and noodle broths, and then one or two headline dishes: rolled sushi or nigiri, gyoza, tempura, okonomiyaki, or a bento box. Wagashi classes make the seasonal sweets served with tea from sweet bean paste. Most classes run two to three hours in a home kitchen or a small studio, and vegetarian versions replace the bonito with a kombu-shiitake dashi. You eat what you make, and Japanese teachers are precise about technique.
The price covers Welcome drink, Cooking ingredients, Instructor and Recipes. It does not cover Hotel pickup and drop-off and Drinks, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

Suan was very friendly and personal! It was a great experience! Totally recommended 🫶!
We had the best time! Walking around the herb and vegetable garden was lovely, we learnt a lot! The cooking was fabulous. We had spring rolls, fresh rolls, Hoi an pancakes and morning glory - all of which were delicious and it was a very interactive cooking class. We all participated and learnt a lot about the foods and some great tips to take home with us. Our teacher (Nin) was amazing - she was so lovely, so helpful and knowledgeable and works very hard to make you happy. We would recommend this to everyone as it’s great for families, friend groups, couples, anyone really. Thank you for a lo
Our guide, Swan, was so knowledgeable, energetic and engaging. My wife and I learned so much about Vietnamese cuisine and the beautiful organic ingredients, freshly picked from the ancient communal gardens just next door. We leavened some new cooking techniques and tried so many new flavours. We loved every minute of the experience and highly recommend it.
Ninh was absolutely brilliant. We got a tour of the farm, then a highly personalised, highly informative and very fun cooking class of 4 Vietnamese dishes. Very strongly recommend, a unique experience in Hoi An.
Swan, our cook, was very kind, had many informations and a very Goodyear English.
Ninh is very friendly and from the start we felt welcome at her farm. It was a pleasure to learn from her about Vietnamese fields, check the fields behind the house by yourself after and see the local farmers watering or fertilising the soil. I would recommend this activity if you want to try cooking local food, learn more about the ingrédients and make friends with other participants. I joined the morning class and we were only 3 people, therefore better to experience, not sure about the evening though
Really nice activity, we learnt to cook many Vietnamese dishes and had a really really nice time ! I recommand 100%
The cooking class was a great and doing it outside made it for an excellent experience
We had so much fun learning to cook delicious Vietnamese food with our host Sophia who was informative, patient and vibrant. The food was delicious & we will definitely try to replicate the recipes at home. Highly recommend but make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to get there as it was a little difficult to find.
our chef was Sophia, she was very nice. we made 4 dishes , lots to eat. everything was so fresh.
We enjoyed the cooking class and all the food we prepared.
Cooking class with Thanh was amazing! He was so much fun to learn from and very patient to answer any questions. It was a big plus that the class is only for a small group, which made it much more personal. Delicious and easy recipes.
