This is a 2-day experience in Sapa. It is run by Sapa Mountain Trails, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Japan's outdoors is organised: trails are marked, mountain huts are booked, and the walking routes with history, the Nakasendo post road between Magome and Tsumago and the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage in Wakayama, are done in comfortable day stages with luggage forwarded. Cycling tours use the flat river paths and back streets that cars avoid. The summer heat from July to September makes early starts essential in the cities and lowlands, while the mountains are cool. Winter turns Hokkaido and Nagano into ski country from December to March, with the powder that Niseko and Hakuba are known for.

The price covers guide for 2 days, 2 lunches, 1 dinner with local flavorful dishes and Hmong “HAPPY WATER”, 1 overnight stay with a local family and 1 breakfast on the second day. It does not cover snack, beverage, Travel insurance and tip, so budget for those separately. I joined the two day trekking tour with Pao, and it was truly an amazing experience. Pao is honest, friendly, hardworking, and speaks excellent English, which made the entire journey smooth and enjoyable. He was always attentive, checking if I was comfortable, explaining local culture clearly, and guiding me safely through the villages and rice terraces. I also got to enjoy delicious local food at Pao’s family homestay, which made the experience even more authentic. I 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sapa.❤️❤️❤️
