Japan's outdoors is organised: trails are marked, mountain huts are booked, and the walking routes with history, the Nakasendo post road between Magome and Tsumago and the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage in Wakayama, are done in comfortable day stages with luggage forwarded. Cycling tours use the flat river paths and back streets that cars avoid. The summer heat from July to September makes early starts essential in the cities and lowlands, while the mountains are cool. Winter turns Hokkaido and Nagano into ski country from December to March, with the powder that Niseko and Hakuba are known for.

Hele mooie ervaring gehad. Het was een beetje mistig, maar daar valt weinig aan te doen. De guides waren enthousiast en behulpzaam met alles. Met de familie hebben we gegeten in de homestay en dat was heerlijk, en daarna kregen we nog wat glaasjes "Happy Water". Voor een meer authentieke ervaring is dit 100% een aanrader!
