This is a 2-day experience from Sapa, built around Overnight: Private bungalow in Ta Van Village, Giang Ta Chai & Bamboo Forest and Red Dao herbal bath & massage. It is run by Local Guide Vietnam's Community, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Japan's outdoors is organised: trails are marked, mountain huts are booked, and the walking routes with history, the Nakasendo post road between Magome and Tsumago and the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage in Wakayama, are done in comfortable day stages with luggage forwarded. Cycling tours use the flat river paths and back streets that cars avoid. The summer heat from July to September makes early starts essential in the cities and lowlands, while the mountains are cool. Winter turns Hokkaido and Nagano into ski country from December to March, with the powder that Niseko and Hakuba are known for.

Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai & Ta Van

Trek through Sapa’s scenic valleys, rice terraces and ethnic villages from Y Linh Ho to Lao Chai and Ta Van. Enjoy lunch along the way, then check in to your private bungalow in Ta Van and relax in the peaceful village surroundings.

Overnight: Private bungalow in Ta Van Village.

Arrive in Ta Van in the afternoon and check in to your private bungalow. Take some time to rest and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the village. Spend the evening relaxing at your bungalow and experiencing the atmosphere of rural Sapa.

Giang Ta Chai & Bamboo Forest

After breakfast, begin your second day of trekking towards Giang Ta Chai Village. The trail takes you through a different landscape, with forest paths, streams, mountain scenery and traditional village areas. Continue into the Bamboo Forest, where you can walk among tall bamboo trees and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the forest.

After the trek, a vehicle will transfer you back to Sapa.

Finish trek & transfer to Sapa

Red Dao herbal bath & massage

After the trek, return to Sapa by vehicle and unwind with a 60-minute traditional Red Dao herbal bath and massage. The tour ends at the spa in Sapa.
