The trip was very nice, the guide was lovely and very helpful, we enjoyed the villages and the rice fields.. it was a very nice walk in a spectacular scenery

Eine matschige 11km lange Trekkingtour, die sich mehr als gelohnt hat. Unsere Guide, die selbst in Lao Chai wohnt, hat uns sicher durch die Reisplantagen geführt. Bevor wir losgingen, hat sie mir ein paar Gummistiefel besorgt, sodass ich trockenen Fußes blieb. Es ist sehr beeindruckend, wie man in den Dörfern lebt. Unsere 4-köpfige Gruppe wurden dann von Frauen aus dem Dorf begleitet, die uns ihre sichere Hand gereicht haben, als es rutschig wurde, dafür haben wir ihnen im Gegenzug Handarbeit abgekauft. The first half of the trek took us through muddy and slippery paths, which made the trail a bit challenging. Many groups started the tour at the same time making it a bit crowded. A big issue that really affected our experience was a group of older women who followed us from the very start of the walk. They offered help navigating the muddy paths, but it quickly became clear that their main intention was to sell their handmade goods and ask for money.
